This design was created for a fundraiser for UNICEF after the earthquakes in Haiti. I managed the creative direction, production, and overall aesthetic. When sales communicated that they wanted something hopeful and colorful, I convinced them to go with watercolors. I worked with an artist in my department to produce them, and enhanced and manipulated the images myself. I sourced the materials, and worked out the production techniques (the corrugated steel, the lightweight cinderblocks, and the paste-ups).

This freelance project was a complete, top-to-bottom rebranding of a medical practice, including an original logo, a brochure, a DVD supplement, letterhead, indoor and outdoor signage, and print advertisements. 

I carried this project through from start-to-finish. I found and manipulated the artwork, created the design, worked with the floral department to create 3D elements, designed and built the stage, and the managed the production. I also came up with the concept for the lampshades, and the bloody scarves.

Working with a team of people, and within existing branding, I created letterhead, brochures, web layouts, leave-behind coasters, and more for premiere lighting companies.

A quick turnaround was required for the 15th anniversary party for a financial services firm, so I worked directly with a designer on my team to create elements for this event. The lampshades, window panels, and stage backdrop are meant to showcase what the department I manage can create with a router we recently purchased. I also designed the invitation myself.

As someone who works as a designer in the event industry, I'm often approached for freelance invitation design. This playful, colorful design for save-the-date cards also emphasizes the couple's different background coming together.

For this personal project, a retreat/reunion I planned in Montana, I created a brochure and a website (http://www.pulled-together.com/retreat/), to give it a polished look that is still personal and inviting.

I designed the look for this event from top-to-bottom. I was given the theme "All Eyes on Angela" for a bat mitzvah, and created the hand-drawn doodles, designs, photo manipulation, banners, and overall aesthetic, and then refined the design elements through client feedback. I also worked the production angle with the furniture department, and by manning the printers.

One of my first freelance clients was a realtor with whom I worked for several years, designing a few dozen postcards and postcards featuring her higher-end listings, as well as invitations for open houses. She worked with me because the pieces I created helped her stand out in an extremely competitive market. The look, design, and often even the copy were created by me; I usually had only an address and 5 and 6 photographs from which to work.

A personal project, these poster designs show off an aesthetic that's playful without being overwrought, and fun without being juvenile. 

I created this design and sourced elements for the production, working from nothing but the theme. I designed the graphics, the stage sign, the tabletops, the DJ booth, and the large 3D cut-outs with xenon lighting. This design is a good example of how I can take a good idea and run with it.

As someone who works as a designer in the event industry, I'm often approached for freelance invitation design. This is a simple, home-produced design that makes the most of DYI screen-printing, and a creative folding scheme.

I created this fake watercolor styling using only digital media, for a look that is organic, but scalable and reproducible. I printed it on canvas and fabric, and used it for table styling, pillows, a dance floor, and a bar front.
