One of my first freelance clients was a realtor with whom I worked for several years, designing a few dozen postcards and postcards featuring her higher-end listings, as well as invitations for open houses. She worked with me because the pieces I created helped her stand out in an extremely competitive market. The look, design, and often even the copy were created by me; I usually had only an address and 5 and 6 photographs from which to work.
